We’re on a mission to make waste management accessible and transparent for every Nigerian community.
TrashBeta was founded in 2025 by a cross-functional product team who experienced the challenges of reporting waste issues in Lagos communities.
We watched small businesses struggle to get attention for waste problems affecting their customers. We saw residents make countless calls that went nowhere. We noticed the complete lack of transparency: you report an issue and then hear nothing.
We knew technology could help, but existing solutions were too expensive and complicated for everyday Nigerians. That’s why we built TrashBeta — a simple, straightforward platform that works on any phone and costs nothing for residents to use.
Today, we're proud to serve communities across Lagos State, with plans to expand to more cities. We've processed 301+ reports and counting, with an average resolution time of just 48 hours.
The principles that guide everything we do
We believe residents deserve to know what's happening with their reports. Real-time tracking and status updates aren't luxuries they're necessities. No more black holes.
Most Nigerians access the internet via mobile phones. We designed TrashBeta mobile-first, ensuring it works perfectly on any device, even with slow connections.
We're not just building software - we're building solutions for real communities. Every feature is tested with actual residents, workers, and administrators in Lagos.
Waste reporting shouldn't require tech expertise. Anyone with a phone should be able to report an issue in under 2 minutes. Simplicity is our superpower.
WE'VE HELPED HUNDREDS OF COMMUNITIES
